Colon Injuries and Infectious Complications in Concurrent Gunshot-Related Fractures

IntroductionConcurrent colonic injury among patients with gunshot-related fractures presents a potential risk for infectious complications. We hypothesized that colon injuries are associated more orthopedic complications gunshot victims concurrent fractures.Materials and methodsWe reviewed trauma arriving at our level 1 center from January 1, 2019 to May 31, 2022 who suffered any fracture also underwent an exploratory laparotomy.
